Local golfer Scott Osterhout has qualified to participate in the
California Golf Association State Tournament, which currently is underway
in northern California.
The 18-year-old Huntington Beach resident is a graduate of Marina
High, where he was a four-year varsity letterman and three-time golf MVP.
This past school year, Osterhout helped guide Long Beach City College
to a second place finish in the state, and was named all-conference.
The California Golf Association State Tournament usually is played at
Pebble Beach, but because of the recent U.S. Open, it has been relocated
to Fort Ord.
Osterhout’s caddy is his father, Alan Osterhout.
