Robinwood Little League’s Senior Division All-Star won the District
62 tournament Wednesday night, beating Westminster, 9-5, in the division

Winning pitcher Nick Garcia went the distance and, except for one
inning in which he allowed five runs, had Westminster baffled.
Garcia finished the game with five strikeouts.
Westminster’s five-run fourth inning narrowed Robinwood’s lead to 8-5,
but another Robinwood run in the sixth inning provided the margin of
victory.
Robinwood tagged Westminster starting pitcher Eric Torres for four,
first inning runs, then scored four more in the third inning off Torres
and his replacement, Jamie Owens.
Offensively for Robinwood, Jon Greedy went 4 for 4 with two doubles, a
pair of singles, and two RBI, Garcia went 3 for 4 with two RBI, Jeremy
Gladu went 2 for 4 with a double and RBI, Mike Gorham went 2 for 2 and
led the team with three RBI, and Logan Brannon finished 2 for 4.

twice (9-5 and 4-2), Huntington Valley (14-2), and Fountain Valley (2-1).
JJ Valicenti collected two complete game pitching wins during the march
to the championship.
The tournament title advanced Robinwood into Sectional tournament
