BRIEFLY IN BUSINESS

Nominations are now open for the 2000 Business in the Arts awards,

sponsored by the Orange County Business Committee for the Arts, Inc.

The awards are presented annually to recognize businesses for

developing outstanding partnerships with the arts. Arts organizations are

encouraged to nominate their business supporters for their contributions.

Also, a business or an individual may nominate a business for an award.

The ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 19 at the Newport Beach Marriott

Hotel, followed by a dinner at The Ritz Restaurant & Garden. Awards may

be presented to small, mid-size or large companies in each of the four

categories: first-time, return, distinguished achievement and lifetime

achievement.
