ISSUE: DATA ANALYSIS

Vote: 4-0, trustee Tracy Pellman absent

Summary: At its July 5 meeting, the school board decided to contract

with DataWorks to conduct an intensive analysis of the recent Stanford 9

test scores for each school and for the district. The company will assess

the scores by categories, such as demographics, subjects areas, learning

levels and teachers.

The total cost for the analysis is estimated to be no more than

$10,200.

ISSUE: FIELD RENOVATIONS

Vote: 4-0, Pellman absent

Summary: The district will grant $15,000 each to the North Huntington

Beach Futbol Club Inc. and AYSO Region 55 for their field renovation

projects at Hope View Elementary School and the Education Center,

respectively. The two groups use the district fields on a joint-use

basis.
