Costa Mesa honored for budget presentation
The city of Costa Mesa’s finance department was recognized recently
for its budget presentation.
The Government Finance Officers Assn. of the United States and Canada
granted the department a prize for developing a compelling presentation
of the city’s 2000-01 operating budget.
This is the first year the city has received the award.
A panel reviewed the city’s budget documents to ensure the finance
department disclosed all of the necessary information to the public.
City Manager Allan Roeder said he was proud of the finance department,
adding that “we will continue to refine not simply the budget document,
but the public review process as well.”
