COSTA MESA - R.J. Duernberger pitched a complete-game two-hitter
with 11 strikeouts to lead the Costa Mesa American Little League Majors
Tigers over the National League Cardinals, 10-0, in interleague action
Tuesday.
Jamie Tinnion led the offense with three hits, including a home run,
while Corey Hughes, Matt Doran and Durenberger had two hits each.
In other Majors Division action:
Tigers 21, White Sox 2 - Andrew Sanford had five hits, including a home
run to lead the Tigers over the White Sox.
Corey Hughes, Jamie Tinnion and Nick Peterson each chipped in with three
hits, while Alex Morales had two hits.
Peterson, Tinnion and Matt Doran combined to pitch a four-hitter with 12
strikeouts to preserve the win, while the Tigers’ defense was anchored by
Andrew Millan with two putouts in center field.
