Cardinals outlast Dodgers, 19-10

The Cardinals scored five runs in the second inning, then blew the

game open with a 10-run outburst in their next at-bat, as they went on to

defeat the Dodgers, 19-10, in Fountain Valley Little League Majors

Division play at Mile Square Park.

Mike Maghy hit a pair of singles and an RBI triple, Jake Morphis doubled

with an RBI single, Freddie Estrada and Jon Bustamante each had a two-RBI

double, Kyle Craft had a single and two RBI, Grant Furuya singled with an

RBI, and Erik Rhoten drove in a run during a very potent Cardinals

attack.

Tommy Delicce singled twice, doubled, and had two RBI, Travis Koehler

singled and doubled, and Dylan Henderson had an RBI single to lead the

Dodgers. Edgar Rios and Nick McIsaac each drove in a run also.

Yankees 3, Royals 0

Roger Huffman tossed a two hitter with 11 strikeouts for the Yankees, who

scored all three of their runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Jeff

Mitchell had an RBI single, and David McClelland had a hit and RBI for

the winners. Evan Gamos and Taylor Rogers each had a hit for the Royals.

Marlins 1, Dodgers 0

The Marlins’ Zach Moore tripled and scored on an error in the seventh

inning to end the game. Marlin pitchers Jeff Sprik, Jessey Cordero, and

Michael Britt combined to no-hit the Dodgers, while Dodger pitcher Tommy

Delicce surrendered just one hit during the first six innings, a fourth

inning single by Cordero.

Mariners 3, Cardinals 2

Carlos Tellez singled home Robert Souders with the winning run in the top

of the seventh inning in another extra innings affair. Bryan Case tripled

and singled for the Mariners. The Cardinals had tied the game in the

fifth inning (2-2) on a two-RBI double by Robert Pearce.
