Powers grand slam powers Braves in 11-2 triumph

Stephen Powers belted a grand slam in the opening inning to propel

the Braves to an early lead, and they went on to ride that fast start to

an 11-2 victory over the Yankees in Robinwood Little League Majors

Division weekend action.

Powers also shared pitching duties with Todd Locken and allowed one

unearned run in three innings of work. Locken relieved Powers late in the

game and put the finishing touches on the victory.

Powers, who took the first pitch offered him for the home run, later came

up with an RBI double.
