Higgins lifts Yankees, 4-3
Danny Higgins did a little bit of everything Saturday in leading
the Yankees to a 4-3 victory over the Angels in Seaview Little League
Majors Division action.
Higgins pitched a complete game victory, striking out 15 while allowing
six hits.
He also starred offensively with a pair of singles and a double.
Tyson Laggenbauer also doubled for the winners.
David McLaughlin singled twice and both Sean Richards and Jake Pinkham
doubled for the Angels.

Dodgers 6, Cardinals 4
Tyler Pistoia delivered a two-RBI double in the fifth inning to lift the
Dodgers to the victory.
Other offensive highlights for the Dodgers included a triple and single
by both Tom Stadfelt and Jay Hayes, and a double by Shane van Herk.
For the Cardinals, Austin Morgan and Mike Doran singled twice.
Reds 12, Pirates 3
Cory Kindness punched a home run, double, and single, Michael Sheedy
homered, Keith Schwaneman doubled and singled, Scott Davis and Taiki
Kakuma each doubled, and Kindness teamed with Valle Fluss on the mound to
lead the Reds; Nick McEachin hit a home run and double to lead the
Pirates.
Cardinals 10, Yankees 9
Austin Morgan tripled, doubled, and singled, John Whitt singled three
times, Mike Doran singled twice, and Kevin Hammond and Nathan Grego each
doubled for the Cardinals; Danny Higgins doubled twice and singled and
Tyson Laggenbauer doubled and singled for the Yankees.
Pirates 12, Angels 4
Shawn Catron threw a complete game victory with 13 strikeouts to go along
with four hits and also doubled on offense, Cort Ross went 2 for 2, and
Nick McEachin doubled three times and also singled for the Reds.
Reds 7, Dodgers 4
Michael Sheedy had three hits and Cory Kindness doubled to lead the Reds;
Greg Davis tripled and Jay Hayes doubled for the Dodgers.
