Isabell slams Rockies, 10-9
Justin Isabell delivered a grand slam in the second inning to lead
the way for the Pirates, who went on to hold off the Rockies, 10-9, in
Seaview Little League Minor A Division play.
The Rockies, however, held a 9-4 lead heading into the fifth inning,
where Bryan Kobylka, Chaz Haffke, and Chris Czerniachowski all had key
hits to spark the Pirates’ comeback.
Anthony Lee had two hits and a walk to lead the Rockies.
Mariners 10, Yankees 3
The Mariners staked their way to seven first inning runs behind key hits
from lead-off hitter Jamie Martin and the Amaral Brothers, Aaron and
Josh.
Rockies 12, Dodgers 6
Addison Babinski went 3 for 3 with a walk and two runs scored, Austin
Rovazzini went 2 for 4 and scored twice, and pitchers Jake Burke and Matt
Fockler combined for the win; Bryan Griffin, Shayne Gardner, Cole Farmer,
and Jared Gaeta each had hits for the Dodgers.
Royals 11, Pirates 4
Donald Sneed and Schyler Harris both had RBI hits, Kyle Martin doubled,
starting pitcher Cory Hamm struck out four in two innings pitched, and
reliever Chance Ross struck out six over the final four innings to sew up
the victory for the Royals; Shawn McEachin went 2 for 2 to lead the
Pirates on offense.
