NHBA Mustang: Dodgers handle Marlins

NEWPORT BEACH - The Dodgers’ pitching and defense came through

strong in an 11-1 victory over the Marlins in Newport Harbor Baseball

Association Mustang Division action.

Cameron Chase started the game and pitched two solid innings before Drew

Littlefair and R.J. D’Cruz combined to strike out 11 the rest of the way.

Peter Kinner and Charlie O’Desky led a strong Dodger infield defense

which did not commit an error in seven chances.

Stefan Brysha singled, doubled, tripled and scored four runs, while

D’Cruz and Kinney each had two hits apiece.

Eric Hansen, Marshall Stamper, Holden Gray-Keough, O’Desky and Braden

Cluck each chipped in with key hits for the Dodgers.

In other Mustang Division action:

Yankees 9, Cardinals 1 - Yankee pitchers Spencer Smith, John Swift and

Chris Griffin combined to strike out 14 in the win over the Cardinals.

For the Cardinals, Jackson Massingill had two hits and an RBI, while

Maverick Medler added a hit.
