Cubs clinch first half title

Behind the 15-strikeout performance of pitchers Dave Fogler and
Ryan Little, the Cubs whipped the White Sox Saturday, 12-4, to clinch
the first half Minor B Division championship at Huntington Valley Little
League.
“Our pitching was awesome and little Dave was in a zone,” Cubs Manager
Nick Mazzone said.
Jeremy Carrillo went 2 for 3 to lead the White Sox on offense.

Dodgers 12, Cardinals 3
Tanner Sierra went 3 for 4, and John Cristopolous and Shawn Stiffler both
doubled among two hits to lead the Dodgers; David Wright and Kasey
Bustamante each had two hits for the Cardinals.
Yankees 13, White Sox 12 Robert Rahon tripled and singled and Nick Refice and Chris Halamandoris
each doubled for the Yankees; Brandon Hughes went 3 for 3, Tanner Class
hit a pair of doubles, and Jeremy Carrillo and Dalton Heikka both tripled
and singled for the Sox. Cubs 5, Marlins 2
Ryan Little went 2 for 2 wit ha double and teammate Brian Schwartz
doubled to account for aall of the Cubs’ offense; the Marlins, who had
six more hits than the Cubs, got two hits apiece from Christian Slaton
and Robert McKinley, and three unassisted and six assisted out from first
baseman Danny Tierney on defense.
