Boys golf: Carrasco wins league title
CHINO CREEK - Costa Mesa High senior Lou Carrasco is the surprise
Pacific Coast League boys golf champion. He shot 71 in the second day to
win the PCL tournament by four strokes with a total of 144 at El Prado
Country Club, par 72.
After shooting 75 on the second day, John Kwon of Corona del Mar was tied
for third with a 149. Mesa’s Jeff Montoya shot a second-day 73 and was
tied for fifth with a 150. CdM’s Joe Kwon and Innes MacDonald, the leader
after the first day, were tied for sixth (152). The top six finishers
qualify for the CIF individual tournament.
