NBLL Majors: Yankees silence Braves

NEWPORT BEACH - Matt Hauser tossed a complete-game one-hitter with
11 strikeouts to lead the Yankees to an 8-1 win over the Braves in
Newport Beach Little League action.
The only hit for the Braves came on a last-inning home run to left field
by Andrew Dialynas.
Hauser, Mike Orozco and Michael Aspergren each had key hits in a
seven-run third inning for the Yanks.
In other Majors Division action:
Giants 9, Mariners 1 - Michael Kordich and Tom Money combined to pitch a
one-hitter with 10 strikeouts for the Giants in their win over the
Mariners.
Philip Bannan led the Giant attack with two hits and two runs scored,
while Zack Milder and Jaffer Kattan each scored twice.
Zack Powers and Tommy Hutchison played well defensively for the Giants,
while Tony Jones scored the Mariners’ lone run.
Cardinals 10, Giants 9 - Paul Neff and Sam Stafford pitched a combined
seven innings to lead the Cardinals over the Giants in extra innings.
The Cards’ defense was led by Ryan Dalton, Colin Wigley and Ryan Telles,
while William O’Brien, Steven Hinton and Ryan Dalton each had three hits.
Cardinals 5, Reds 3 - Steven Hinton pitched four scoreless innings to
lead the Cardinals to a win over the Reds.
Sam Stafford, Ryan Telles and William O’Brien led the offense, while Paul
Neff, Emily Odenberg and Andrew Slusser led the defense.
