Softball: CdM beats Estancia, 5-2

COSTA MESA - Corona del Mar High’s softball team got a 5-2 Pacific

Coast League victory over host Estancia Tuesday.

CdM’s (5-6, 2-1 in league) Mijanou Pham went 3 for 4 with an RBI and had

the game’s only extra-base hit with a triple. Teammate Amy Tyson went 2

for 4.

CdM’s Alissa Zoelle pitched a complete game for the victory, with help

from a fine defensive play by rightfielder Megan Curry to squelch an

Eagles rally in the seventh.

For Estancia (3-13, 0-3), Katie Wyman went 2 for 3 and Laura Morton had

an RBI single.
