Men’s tennis: Lions crush Cal Poly Pomona

POMONA - The Vanguard University men’s tennis team had little
trouble with Cal Poly Pomona, winning, 7-2, over the Broncos.
Martin Makovec needed two tiebreakers to win in singles’ competition,
7-6, 7-6 before teaming up with Joakim Ulfvebrand for a 9-7 doubles’ win.
With the win over Broncos, ranked No. 19 in the nation in the NCAA
Division II polls, the Lions, ranked No. 3 in the NAIA polls, improve to
15-2 overall.
