Girls swimming: Mesa loses to University
COSTA MESA - Erin Bayes won two events to lead Costa Mesa High’s
girls swim team in Wednesday’s 109-62 Pacific Coast League loss to
University.
Bayes was victorious in the 50-meter freestyle (25.75) and the 100
freestyle (56.44) for the Mustangs.
Jody Martinovich was the winner of the 500 freestyle at 5:36.87, while
her sister, Wendy Martinovich took first in the 100 breaststroke with a
1:13.06.
Costa Mesa will duel Tustin and Loara in a nonleague tri-meet on Friday.
