Baseball: Vanguard University falls in 10

SANTA BARBARA - Vanguard University’s baseball team lost a tough

Golden State Athletic Conference matchup to host Westmont College, 3-2,

Tuesday afternoon.

Joshua Case (Orange Coast College) threw eight solid innings, allowing

only one earned run on nine hits with four strikeouts for the Lions

(4-18, 2-14 in conference).

After three walks in the bottom of the 10th inning, John Whipp’s two-out

single brought in the winning run for Westmont (12-9, 9-6).GOLDEN STATE
