Elementary school lunch menu for the Newport-Mesa Unified School

District:

* Checks are not accepted for less than $17.50

* Elementary lunches are $1.75

* There are three menu choices every day, including a vegetarian entree.

The vegetarian selection varies and may be a salad, sandwich or hot

entree.

TODAY

Munchable lunch salad or chicken-patty sandwich on a bun, lettuce and

pickles, choice of fruit, choice of milk

WEDNESDAY

Munchable lunch salad or “brunch for lunch” cinnamon-swirl French toast

with maple syrup and two sausage patties, choice of fruit, choice of milk

THURSDAY

Munchable lunch salad with fruit yogurt or turkey and gravy with rice,

fresh-baked dinner roll, hot vegetables, choice of fruit, choice of milk

FRIDAY

Turkey and cheese sandwich or macaroni and cheese, crisp green salad with

low-fat dressing, choice of milk, fruit turnover

MONDAY

Munchable lunch salad or two mini cheeseburgers with lettuce and pickles,

100% fruit juice bar, choice of milk

* NOTE: The munchable lunch salad contains tossed greens, cherry

tomatoes, crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds,

fruit yogurt, honey roasted peanuts and dressing.
