LOS ANGELES - The Orange Coast College men’s volleyball team,

knocked off host L.A. Pierce College, winning the interconference

matchup, 15-9, 16-4, 15-11, Friday. Leading the charge was Dave Moser and

B.J. Lightvoet, who each powered in 21 kills for OCC (11-3, 5-3 in

conference) ... The Vanguard University softball team lost two of its

three games played in the University of West Florida’s Spring Fling

Tournament, losing, 1-0 to Kansas’ Washburn College, winning, 7-1,

against Missouri’s Park College and losing, 2-1, against host West

Florida. The Lions are now 16-15 for the season.
