What do you think about the proposed Dunes resort?

1. “I am not for it because it is more of what we don’t need. We are

already saturated with development. The city won’t be what it is if this

resort goes in. It’s almost lost it now.”

2. “I would like to keep the area the same, but I don’t think it’s fair

to take away the rights from the person who owns the land and wants to

develop it.”

3. “I am against it because it would create too much traffic, and I think

it will impact the Back Bay. They have a great bird sanctuary there. If

you bring in more people it’s just going to create problems. I hope they

don’t do it.”

4. “I am in favor of it, but only if it is limited to 200 rooms, the

original plan. The Bayside Drive intersection will be severely impacted.

It already is. The traffic will prove too much for Bayside Drive and East

Coast Highway.”

5. “The Back Bay is one of the last estuaries left in the state. The more

development we have there, the greater the chances are of ruining the

habitat. It needs to stay a bird hotel and not a people hotel. People

have enough places to go on vacation.”
