Scholarships offered to Lincoln alums

Scholarships are currently available for former Lincoln Elementary School
students getting ready to graduate from high school and head on to
college.
The Bruce Crockard Scholarship, established last year in honor of
Lincoln’s first principal, sent two students off to college with an extra
$250 in their pockets last year. This year, the scholarship has increased
to an undetermined amount, said Debby Manning, spokesperson for the
Lincoln PTA.
The only criteria for applying is to have attended Lincoln up to at least
the sixth grade.
Applications are in the Corona del Mar High School counseling office, and
must be turned in by May 1.
“It’s just a great opportunity for anyone who needs extra help,” Manning
said. “There are no restrictions. Basically, we want to know what they
got out of attending Lincoln.”
