Dodgers rout Diamondbacks

Jordan Weber smashed two single, a pair of doubles, had two RBI,
and scored four times himself to power the Dodgers to a season-opening
19-3 win over the Diamondbacks in Fountain Valley Little League Minor A
Division play at Mile Square Park.
The Dodgers’ 15-hit attack included three hits and four RBI by Cael Hill,
Taylor Wilson and Daisuke Nishikawa both had two hits and two RBI, and
John Spirk had two hits and an RBI.
Spirk also struck out eight in three innings pitched, and Weber fanned
five in two innings.
Jonathan Telles singled and scored once for the Diamondbacks.

Yankees 12, Angels 4
The Yankees broke open a scoreless tie in the top of the third inning
with six runs. Matt Hernandez singled three times and had four RBI, and
Zach Cardenalli singled twice for the Yankees; both Doug Frenchak and
Mike Sanberg had RBI singles, Cheyne Long added an RBI, and Trevin
Sofferman singled and scored twice for the Angels.
Devil Rays 6, Reds 3
Kevin Smisko and Jeffrey Dang both singled for the Devil Rays; Garrett
Dejong singled, doubled, and scored twice, and Jeffrey Godshall singled
twice with two RBI for the Reds.
Mets 11, Orioles 3
Billy Bintner had an RBI single, Tim Miehl had a base hit and two runs
scored, Andrew Stadnick scored three runs, and pitchers Brett Hill,
Cameron Hammer, and Robert Johnson combined for 12 strikeouts in five
innings for the Mets; Ryan Haskin singled twice and scored twice for the
Orioles.
