Softball: Pirates no match for Cypress

COSTA MESA - Orange Coast College’s softball team lost to visiting

Cypress, 7-2, in Orange Empire Conference action Thursday afternoon.

Kristin Degree had two hits, while Renee Snyder had a solo home run for

the Pirates (12-10, 1-5 in conference).

A three-run home run by Koral King in the second inning helped Cypress

(11-1-1, 5-1) jump out to a 5-0 lead early.
