Junior Crew: NAC takes the Cal Cup lead

LONG BEACH - The Junior Crew team from the Newport Aquatic Center

captured the first regatta in the Cal Cup series on Saturday.

Racing against teams from the Long Beach Rowing Association, the Marina

Aquatic Center from Marina del Rey, the San Diego Rowing Club and the

ZLAC Women’s team from San Diego, the NAC gathered the most points in the

event.

The NAC took first place in the Men’s Varsity Eight, Men’s Varsity

Double, Women’s Novice Eight, Women’s Varsity Squad and the Women’s

Novice Four.

In addition, the Women’s Novice Quad, Women’s Varsity Single and the

Men’s Varsity Squad placed second in their events.
