The Wave wins Area 11-K title

The Wave, a Region 5 boys Under-10 All-Star soccer team, defeated

Region 517 (Santa Ana), 4-0, in the final game of the five week Area 11-K

Tournament Sunday to claim the division title.

The Wave bounced back from a 1-1 tie with Region 56 to defeat Santa Ana.

By winning the Area 11-K crown, The Wave next will compete at the AYSO

Section Tournament, which will be held March 11-12 at UC Irvine.

Members of The Wave include Nadeem Abdo, Jon Birt, Jordan Black, Jason

Frazier, Alex Gallardo, Carlitos Garibay, Andrew Kinney, Alex Loeffelman,

Mason Miller, Tom Moua, Mike Nevarez, Danny Shoop, Richie Unfried, and

Max Volz.
