College softball: OCC loses, 4-3

SANTA ANA - Orange Coast College’s softball team gave up three runs
in the fourth inning as it fell to host Santa Ana, 4-3, in an Orange
Empire Conference matchup.
The Pirates (11-7, 0-2 in conference) scored two in the third and one in
the sixth inning. Renee Snyder and Angelia Valdez got the two OCC RBIs.
Kristin Degree went 2 for 3 and scored one Pirates’ run. OCC’s Noelle
Espinoza, who hit a double, and Renee Snyder, who had a triple, got the
only extra-base hits in the game. Santa Ana improves to 7-4, 2-1 in
conference.
