COSTA MESA
* East 15th Street: A man reported the side door of his new car had been
scratched with an unknown object, causing about $300 in damage in the
1800 block at about 3:15 p.m. Feb. 28.
* Fullerton Avenue: The locks on a resident’s door were destroyed by an
unknown suspect, causing about $200 in damage in the 2000 block between
Feb. 23-24.
* Harbor Boulevard: A cellular phone worth $200 was stolen from an
unlocked car in the 3100 block at about 2 p.m. Feb. 20.
NEWPORT BEACH
* Quail Street: A portable safe worth $350 was reported stolen from an
office in the 1100 block at about 1:30 p.m. Feb. 25.
* Upper Newport Plaza: A glass door was broken, causing about $1,000 in
damages, and a flat-screen computer monitor valued at $1,200 was stolen from an office suite in Newport Plaza Building at about 6 p.m. Feb. 28.
* Seashore Street: About $300 was stolen from an unlocked car in the 400
block around 10 p.m. Feb. 27.
* Superior Avenue: An electric drill and other construction equipment
valued at $190 was reported missing in the 1500 block at 2:30 p.m. Feb.
