Men’s basketball: Lions sneak into postseason
COSTA MESA - Kemmy Burgess had 17 points to lead the Vanguard
University men’s basketball team to a 76-61 win over visiting Hope
International to close out the Golden State Athletic Conference schedule.
Garid Beeler chipped in with 15 points, while Brandon Cablay had 14 for
the Lions (12-18, 4-14 in conference).
With the No. 8 seed in the GSAC Tournament, the Lions will face the
GSAC’s top-seed Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. on the road.
