7 to 9 p.m. this evening. Youth for Understanding, a group that

Sherman Library & Gardens will host a program titled “Spring Blooming
Oxalis” at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Michael Vassar, horticulturist at the
Huntington Library and Gardens, will discuss the use of spring-blooming
oxalis for the Southern California home garden. The event is free and

3. TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER
Whittier Law School will hold an auction -- with items ranging from trips
to resort destinations to tickets for cultural events -- to raise money
for law students who work for public interest groups. The auction will be
held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the cafeteria at the school, 3333
Harbor Blvd., Costa Mesa. It is free and open to the public. For more
