Jasmine Lee -- RETAIL ROUNDUP

You can get just about anything on the Internet, but computer wizards

still haven’t found a way to get a haircut online.

However, Costa Mesa-based o7 styleu4ea.comf7 -- set to launch this

weekend -- will have the next-best thing.

The Web site will offer a forum for hairstylists to exchange tips on

products and techniques, said Dick Gregerson, the company’s CEO.

Subscriptions to the service will cost salon owners $79 per month.

Beauticians can access features such as educational films, photos of hot

styles and a guide of chic restaurants, nightclubs and concerts for

traveling stylists.

But, alas, virtual trims, perms and highlights cannot be conducted online

-- yet.

MORE THAN JUST MEATBALLS

Gustaf Anders is seeing stars -- four of them.

The restaurant, located at South Coast Plaza, was awarded the highest

possible rating of four stars in the 2000 Mobil Travel Guide.

Gustaf Anders was declared “outstanding” and “worth a special trip” by

Exxon Mobil Corp., which publishes the annual travel guide.

Gustaf Anders has specialized in contemporary Swedish/California cuisine

since 1989, when it opened.

A GEM OF A BOOK

If diamonds are indeed a girl’s best friend, that friend’s name might be

Tiffany.

Loyal friends can learn more about Tiffany in a biography titled “Tiffany

Jewels,” written by John Loring, who is the design director for Tiffany &

Co. Loring will be on hand at the South Coast Plaza Tiffany store from

10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday to sign copies of his book.

And, if you attend the event, perhaps you will make some new friends.

* RETAIL ROUNDUP runs Thursdays. Please fax newsworthy items to Jasmine

Lee at (949) 646-4170 or send e-mail to o7 [email protected] .
