Thunder Blades take two

The Thunder Blades moved into a first place tie with the Jets in

the Norris Division standings by winning a pair of weekend games at Coast

2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

They won the first of two games in the same day by blanking the

Earthquakes, 2-0, behind goalie Mark Kosko’s shutout and the single goal

scoring of Lauren Barteske and Joshua Gane, both of whom scored off

assists from Eric Grant and Lance Unrau.

The Thunder Blades, now 3-1-1, followed that win with a 5-3 victory over

The Masters. Unrau and Adam Lamotte each netted a pair of goals, Matthew

Finlayson scored once, and Gane had an assist.

Brittany Wood scored once with an assist, Chris Snapper and Robert

Brothers each scored once, and Casey Childers and Nicholas Capriccio each

had an assist for The Masters (1-4).

In other matches:

Bulldogs 4, Jets 2

Luke Hamagiwa’s two goals helped the Bulldogs (3-1) hand the Jets their

first loss of the season; Brandon Bauman scored once with an assist, Cody

Schlegel scored once, and Jacob Schnautz had an assist for the Jets

(3-1-1).

Stars 11, KAOS 4

Nathan Sutton scored three goals with an assist, Travis Sutton knocked in

three other goals, Kevin Hetrick scored twice, Connor Burns and Trevor

Pirtle each scored once with an assist, Aaron Sutton assisted two goals,

and Bryan Bennett scored once as the Stars improved to 2-3; William De

Witt scored three goals, Ryan Burke scored once with an assist, and Jared

Hackworth picked up an assist for KAOS (2-3).
