We talked with second-grade students at Pomona Elementary School in Costa
Mesa to find out who their Valentines were going to be. Here’s what they
had to say:
“I don’t like girls. So my brother is going to be my Valentine. He is
four. I am going to buy him a Pokemon toy.”

“My dad is going to be my Valentine because he buys me things like food
and toys. I am going to buy him a card decorated with hearts.”

“My dad will probably be my Valentine. He is nice to me. I like hanging
out with him. He takes me to the movies. My dad is my best friend.”

me. I go food shopping with her sometimes.”
