Softball: Vanguard sweeps Cal Lutheran
THOUSAND OAKS - Vanguard University’s softball team won both games
in a nonconference doubleheader with host Cal Lutheran Saturday.
In the first game, the Lions (2-2) scored three runs in the top of the
seventh, and then held on for the 7-6 victory. Jill Ramsey had two RBIs
and Valerie Vanaken went 2 for 4.In the second game, Stacey Caggiano went
3 for 3 with two RBIs as Vanguard won, 8-5. Rachel Carver drove in three
Lions’ runs.
