BRIEFLY IN EDUCATION
OCC will present a free seminar that offers tips for coping with the high
costs of a college or university education at 7 p.m. Feb. 2 in the Robert
B. Moore Theatre.
“This workshop is designed for persons who are concerned about financing
their own college education, or that of their children,” said Gregory D.
Clark, advisor to OCC’s Student Leadership Programs. “Students may be
eligible for more money for college than they realize, whether they are
planning to attend OCC, Harvard or Berkeley.”
The two-hour seminar titled “Financial Aid 2000” is geared toward high
school and college students and their parents. Presentations will be
offered in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.
Workshop topics include: “How to Fill Out the Financial Aid Application
to Obtain the Most Money Available,” “Changes in the 2000-01
Application,” and “How the State and Federal Governments Allocate Funds.”
A question-and-answer session will take place.
OCC is at 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa. For more information, call
