Warhawks claim Area K title

The Warhawks, an AYSO Region 56 Under-1O boys soccer team, captured

the Area 11-K championship last weekend by going undefeated in tournament

play.

The Warhawks posted a 5-0 record, with wins coming over Region 117

(Central Huntington Beach), 3-0, Region 5 (Fountain Valley), 2-1, Region

55 (North Huntington Beach), 3-2, Region 517 (Santa Ana), 3-1, and Region

143 (West Huntington Beach), 3-0.

Top scorers during the Warhawks’ title run were Alex Payette with five

goals, Jake Wells and Troy Bosiljevac, both of whom scored four goals,

and Eric Smith with one.

Goalkeepers Aaron Bedford and Smith limited the opposition to four goals

overall. Adam Cutts, Jacob Jaffe, Kevin Wills, Rich Seaberry, Kevin

Hetrick, Sam Rummel, and Jamie Reiss spearheaded the Warhawk defense.
