AYSO Region 97: Ameba win Six-City OC crown

IRVINE - The Ameba, an AYSO Region 97 boys U-14 soccer team,

captured the Six-City Central Orange County Championship Saturday with a

4-0 win over South Irvine.

Goalkeeper Kaiona Dutro had seven saves, recording his third shutout of

the year. Arthur Perez, Erik Zepeda, Taylor Conant, Brendan Sowers and

Max Petty led the Ameba’s defense.

Michael Bury, Eduardo Garcia, Eddie Zepeda and Brenden Zimmer each scored

Ameba goals, while Sergio Luna, Ramez Wissa, Devon Andrade and Mike

Richardson controlled the midfield.

The Ameba improve to 16-3 for the year and will now train for the AYSO

Sectional and Tri-Sectional State Championships to be held at UCI in

mid-March.
