Girls basketball: Mesa pounds Laguna Beach

COSTA MESA - Autumn Smith had 22 points and 15 rebounds to lead

Costa Mesa High’s girls basketball team to a 60-15 win over Laguna Beach

in Pacific Coast League action Tuesday night.

Jenny Earnest chipped in with 12 points and six steals for the Mustangs

(13-5, 3-0 in league).

Costa Mesa jumped all over the Artists early, jumping out to an 11-point

first-quarter lead and a 32-6 halftime lead.

Next up for the Mustangs, they host rival Corona del Mar Thursday at 7

p.m.
