Web site focuses on family values

OCC professor and film critic H. Arthur Taussig has developed a new Web

site that focuses on family values and the cinema.

The Web site, o7 www.filmvalues.comf7 , went online this month with

more than 700 reviews.

Taussig, a professor at OCC for 27 years, is an internationally

recognized authority on the psychology and sociology of film. The purpose

of the Web site, he said, “is to help parents declare their independence

from the media and gain better control over the glut of sex, violence and

other dangerous messages in movies that children watch on commercial TV,

cable and VCRs.”
