“I don’t want to see any more growth. It sounds like a good initiative
offhand. It depends on the developments that would be going in, whether
they would be good for citizens.Unfortunately, the word is out about
Newport Beach, and everyone wants to be here. I think the initiative
could be good for the community.”
(2) Robert Wells”I would vote for it indeed. Particularly as we see what
is happening in Newport Coast. We need to leave some pieces of Newport
Beach open. Look what they did to the Castaways. It was a beautiful piece
of land and now it’s just boxes on boxes. It is beginning to look like
Irvine.”
(3) Mark Barrett
“I would vote for it. The residents should have a right to voice their
opinion. There is too much uncontrolled growth here. I grew up here, and
I’ve just watched this place grow. It is just going to be Miami all
over.”
(4) Jason Kuncas
“Sure, I would vote for it. There is already enough traffic here. They
had a similar issue like this that passed in San Clemente that helped. It
took a lot longer for developments to go in, and it helped the
residents.”
(6) Brandon Hillis “I would vote for the initiative. I don’t want to see
people come in here and do all these developments. There are already too
many people here. The best development they can do is nothing.”
