Women’s basketball: OCC crushes Fullerton

FULLERTON - Orange Coast College’s women’s basketball team improved

to 19-1 with a resounding 83-65 victory over Fullerton in an Orange

Empire Conference game on Wednesday.

Karyn Fierst led five OCC (19-1, 3-0 in conference) players in

double-digit scoring with 19 points. Leah Wilde scored 17, Shauna Steward

16, Erin Tomlinson 13, and Sarah Middlebrooke 12, along with eight

rebounds for OCC.

Missy Bynon just missed a triple-double with 16 points, 11 assists and

nine rebounds for Fullerton (14-8, 1-2).
