Men’s basketball: OCC loses a shootout

FULLERTON - The Orange Coast College men’s basketball team scored
95 points, but still lost to host Fullerton, 102-95, in Orange Empire
Conference action Wednesday.
OCC’s David Castleton scored 37 to lead all scorers, and hit 6 of 11
three-pointers. Off the bench, Duc Nguyen got 24 of his 27 in the second
half, nailing 5 of 10 three-pointers, for the Pirates (12-6, 1-2 in
conference).
After shooting 36% in the first half, the Hornets (11-9, 1-2) shot 61% in the second to hang on for the win. OCC only shot 34% from the floor, but
it hit 13 three-pointers. Chad Hagedorn had 11 rebounds for OCC.
