OBITUARY

Richard Henry Perkins of Tustin died Dec. 29 of cancer. He was 78.

Mr. Perkins, an optometrist for more than 50 years, had a private

practice in Corona del Mar since the early 1960s. When he fell ill, his

patients helped run his Corona del Mar office. Some of his patients even

traveled to Santa Ana in order to be seen by Mr. Perkins’ nephew, Robert

Osborn, who is an optician.

Mr. Perkins is survived by his sister, Winnifred Osborn of Boron, Calif.,

and brothers William, Rodger, Fred and Robert Perkins.

Services will be held Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. at Saddleback Chapel in Tustin. A

burial service will follow at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside.
