Women’s basketball: OCC rolls

COSTA MESA - Karyn Fierst scored 14 points and Shauna Steward added

12 points to lead the Orange Coast College women’s basketball team past

El Camino, 74-37, in the first round of the Coast Christmas Classic

Friday night.

The Pirates (12-1) outscored El Camino, 32-14, in the first half and

cruised to victory.

OCC will take on Southwestern tonight at 7:30 in second-round action.
