LA PALMA - Corona del Mar High’s girls basketball team came back
from a nine-point halftime deficit to tie the game in the fourth quarter,
but Huntington Beach’s Amy Sanders had five free throws and a layup to
key a 46-38, win in the semifinals of the Troy-Kennedy Tournament
Thursday at Kennedy High.
CdM (3-1) made a frantic comeback from a 31-23 third-quarter deficit.
Kristen McCoy scored six of her 13 points, Charlene Quon hit two
three-pointers and Mijanou Pham hit two free throws for CdM to tie it at

But Sanders, who finished with 31 points, was too much.
