Timberwolves roll onward
The Timberwolves won their fourth consecutive match Monday and ran
their undefeated streak to six games overall by beating the Dragons, 5-3,
in a Smythe Division showdown at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in
Huntington Beach.
Aaron Fulmer scored two goals and also assisted another score as the
first-place Timberwolves improved their record to 6-1-3 overall.
Nicholas Delgleize also scored twice and Jordan Wallace scored once with
two assists to round out the scoring attack, and goalkeeper Jonathan
Blunda stopped 17 shots.
Keith Dickson scored two goals to lead the Dragons (3-3-3), who also
received a goal from Jeffrey Kurokawa, two assists from Mark Kanow, and
one assist apiece from Jason Moore and Garrett Ono.
The win over the Dragons was the second of the day for the Timberwolves,
who earlier defeated the Stick Men, 7-3.
This time, Wallace paved the way with a team-high four goals, while
Delgleize finished with two goals and Shaun Jennings had two assists.
Brock Bowden led all scorers with five goals and two assists, Patrick
Watzke scored four goals, and Hayden Hiatt scored once to go with a
match-high three assists to lead the Stick Men, who fell to 3-4-2.

Volcanoes 8, Predators 2
Balance was the name of the game for the second-place Volcanoes (5-1-3),
who received two goals and an assist from David Finney, two goals from
Kyle Yamaoka, a goal and assist from Bobby Sowma, and single goals by
Blake Easton, Gregory Martin, and Matthew Harrington.
Jamie Schlegel scored both goals for the Predators, who fell to 0-8-1.
Hat Trix 2, Flames 1
In a defensive struggle which save Hat Trix goalie Christopher Torres
record 20 saves and the Flames’ Ben Hynes stop 14 shot attempts, Chas
Plimpton scored one goal and assisted a Chase Bombola score to lift Hat
Trix, which evened its record at 3-3-3.
Jason Gonzell scored off a David Taylor shot for the Flames (4-4-1).
