Teal Jaguar foursome set for All-Conference game

Four members of the Fountain Valley Jr. Pee Wee Division Teal
Jaguars have been selected to participate in the Dec. 12 Orange Country
Junior All-American All-Conference Football game, which will be held at
Cal State Fullerton.
Offensive lineman Sean Tierney, offensive back Vince DiDomenico,
defensive lineman Michael Clark, and defensive back Dean Persinger will
represent the Teal Jaguars in the “junior” Pro-Bowl, which pits the best
from the AFL against the top players from the NFL.
Four players from each team are voted on by teammates to represent the
squad in the All-Conference game.
Admission to the contest is $5 per adult and $1 for youngsters over eight
years of age.
Below is a closer look at the four Teal Jaguars who will pay in the
Orange County Junior All-American All-Conference game:
Sean Tierney, offensive lineman: At 10 years of age, Tierney, who has
played in the Fountain Valley chapter for three years, is the youngest
member of the Teal Jaguars. Plays offensive tackle/end, also defense. The
Huntington Beach fifth-grader led the team in sacks with 10, as well as
forced fumbles, with tied teammate Josh Pineiro in fumble recoveries with
two.
Michael Clark, defensive lineman: A first-year player, Clark, at 12, is
the oldest member of the Teal Jaguars. An aggressive tackle, Clark,
sixth-grader from Fountain Valley, was second on the team in sacks with
six.
Vince DiDomenico, offensive back: A speedy tailback who also plays
defense, the second-year player was the leading rusher in the Teal
Jaguars’ wishbone offense. DiDomenico, a sixth-grader from Santa Ana,
also came up big one defense and had one of two blocked field goals
recorded by the Jaguars this season.
Dean Persinger, defensive back: An 11-year-old and first-year player,
Persinger, a linebacker, was second on the team in forced fumbles, third
in sacks, and the sixth grader was a “natural leader on our 60 defense,”
Fountain Valley Coach Mike Tierney said.
