Jackals enjoy laughter over You Ain’t Hurt

The Jackals ran their unbeaten streak to six games Wednesday by
beating You Ain’t Hurt, 5-1, in a Wales Division match played at Coast 2
Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Ryan Ratelle and Vartan Tchekmedyian each scored two goals as the Jackals
improved to 5-1-2 overall. Others in on the five-goal output included
Ryan Turchi with a goal and assist while Tony Derleth and Sergei Sedykin
each had an assist.
You Ain’t Hurt’s lone goal came off the stick of Derek Huffman, who
scored unassisted.
Goalie Nicholas Ferreria came up with 26 saves.
In other matches:
Thrashers 5, Roller Dogs 2
Jesse Montgomery and Andrew Whiting both scored twice and Kyle Thoms
scored off a Traves Smith assist as the first-place Thrashers ran their
record to 6-1; Brian Kaminsky and Shane Lakes both scored and Spencer
Kalander picked up an assist to lead the Roller Dogs, who dropped their
third consecutive match to fall to 3-4-1.
Mustangs 2, Renegades 2
Jeff Bisso and Jonathan Shramek each scored once and assisted each
other’s goal as the Mustangs were tied for the fourth time this season in
moving to 3-1-4; Jonathan Blunda and John Do each scored once and Casey
Maines had an assist to account for the offensive output by the Renegades
(3-3-2).
Hot Shots 4, Renegades 3
In a match played Tuesday night, Harry Graves, Corey Cano, Casey Landel,
and Tommy Montgomery all scored as the Hot Shots (2-5) ended a losing
streak at four games; Jonathan Blunda scored once with an assist, John Do
and Kyle Sabraw each scored once, and Mike Blunda and Cassie Thistle each
collected an assist for the Renegades.
