Newport yacht charter’s parking appeal hearing postponed
The Newport Beach City Council’s planned review Tuesday night of a yacht charter outfit’s appeal of Lido Marina Village’s parking management plan has been postponed.
A representative of DJM Capital Partners, the manager of Lido Marina Village and landlord of the charter company, Electra Cruises, was caught in heavy rain and flooding in Monterey County and is unable to make it to Newport Beach for the hearing, City Manager Dave Kiff said.
The appeal will be continued, likely to Jan. 23.
Electra alleges that a recent city Planning Commission adjustment of the Lido Marina Village parking plan allowing shopping center employees to park in the onsite garage has crowded out cruise passengers.
Tuesday’s regular council session begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 100 Civic Center Drive.
