2 sought in Costa Mesa computer store burglary

Detectives are looking for two people who burglarized a Costa Mesa computer store early Thursday.

The burglars shattered a window and broke through metal bars to get into the Mac Guys, an Apple computer repair and retailer at 670 W. 17th St., said police Sgt. Dan Miles.

Miles said the thieves tripped an alarm inside the business. The alarm company notified the business owner, who checked a remote security camera and called police.

Costa Mesa officers arrived at the store at 2:36 a.m. The burglars had already left, Miles said.

The amount of merchandise stolen was not immediately known.

Police ask that anyone with information about the case call the detective bureau at (714) 754-5637.
